Traffic and Travel

Our Travel Policy

We co-operate with Camden Council and local schools to produce an annually updated School Travel Plan (STP). This plan aims to reduce congestion in a way that puts pupil’s safety first. The school takes a two-pronged strategy of reducing the individual impact of driving to and from school and promoting the use of alternative methods of transport.

We take a pro-active approach by encouraging the use of alternative methods of transport to and from school. We have also introduced a one-way traffic management system from Eton Avenue and stagger arrival and departure times. The school has recently built cycle/micro scooter storage facilities, we are in the process of implementing a school bus service and we participate in National/local initiatives such as ‘Walk To School Week.’ Car sharing is encouraged and popular.

We realise that driving can be a necessity for some parents, especially for those with young children. For the convenience of parents with younger pupils, Camden Council did supply a number of parking dispensation permits, however this has now been reduced to six for the whole school, these are available only to transition.

We look for co-operation from parents in helping us to reach our goal of providing convenient and practical solutions to reduce congestion and promote environmentally suitable transport.
