Hereward House was inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in May 2026 and successfully met all standards across every area of inspection, including leadership and governance, quality of education, pupil wellbeing and safeguarding.
Inspectors recognised Hereward House as a welcoming and inclusive school where boys are kind, considerate and confident, enjoy warm and supportive relationships with staff, make strong academic progress and feel safe, valued and happy. The report highlights the quality of teaching, the school's nurturing pastoral care, successful senior school destinations and a strong culture of safeguarding, with knowledgeable leaders and well-trained staff ensuring pupils thrive both academically and personally.
ISI Focused Compliance and Educational Quality Inspection - April 2023
In our 2023 ISI Inspection, Hereward House was found to be fully compliant in all regulatory areas and judged Excellent in both 'The Quality of Pupils' Academic and Other Achievements' and 'The Quality of Pupils' Personal Development', the highest educational judgements available under the inspection framework at the time.
Inspectors recognised the school's ambitious academic culture, noting pupils' excellent progress, very high levels of success in senior school entrance examinations and scholarships, and achievements across mathematics, languages, music, sport and the arts. The report also praised pupils' confidence, communication skills, kindness, leadership, strong moral character and the welcoming, supportive community that underpins life at Hereward House.
